This position serves in the agency's licensing unit, as a point of contact for new applicants seeking registration with the Board. This position oversees the application process for all applications for the following industries: Architect, Engineer, Land Surveyor, Landscape Architect, Geologist, Home Inspector, Alarm Industry, and their respective firm registrations.
The need to process all applications accurately and within required timeframes is essential to overall agency functionality. This position will also process license renewals and act as back up for operations.
This position requires exceptional written and verbal skills to communicate with the public and individuals seeking Board registration.
• Process applications for exam authorization or waiver, in-training designation, and for registration. Review documentation for validity and administrative completeness, enter data in online systems, determine if applications are administratively complete or deficient and send applicable correspondence to applicants. Process license verifications and review seal affidavits for compliance. Communicate with individuals through phone and email correspondence regarding applications/registrations
• Various clerical duties including electronic filing, data entry, copying documents, uploading/scanning documents, faxing, and user acceptance testing of online platforms
• Assist in the administration/proctoring of the state-specific geological and land surveyor exams
• Any other projects as assigned by the Licensing Manager, Deputy or Executive Director
• Process license renewals and act as a back-up for Board Operations as needed
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of computer programs (Google, Microsoft, online licensing platform, and others)
• Knowledge of Board statutes and rules relating to application/registrations
• Knowledge of State licensing processes

Driving Requirements:
• Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
• Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment
