AmeriCorps Program Administrator

Annual Salary: $65,000

Grade: 01

This posting will remain open until filled

Job Duties:

• Provides training and technical assistance to a subset of the AmeriCorps portfolio (typically 10 subgrantees), and responds to all subgrantee inquiries as needed

• Communicates the AmeriCorps grant guidelines, provisions, regulations, and handbooks as well as the federal agency’s main initiatives, special initiatives, and current priorities to current subgrantees and interested stakeholders

• Coordinates with the AmeriCorps Director, Compliance Administrator, and other members of the AmeriCorps Team to meet subgrantee compliance and training needs

• Assist with aggregating data in preparation for submitting the annual grant progress reports and annual closeout reports to the AmeriCorps federal agency

• Participate in meetings, conferences, seminars, training, and conference calls as necessary, which could include in-state and out-of-state travel

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of various AmeriCorps Programs and the federal agency, its initiatives, and available resources

• Develop and support the implementation of Arizona Management System (AMS) metrics & standards throughout all areas

• Review quarterly reports and annual grant closeout documents, providing feedback to subgrantees as needed

• Serves as staff for workgroups of the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism as needed

• Assist in identifying statewide gaps & support initiatives related to the Arizona for Everyone priorities

• The position may require some travel

• Assist with onboarding new staff

• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to work with diverse individuals and multi-disciplinary teams

• Work with all levels of personnel from all levels of government

• Must have excellent writing and communication skills

• Maintain a professional and positive attitude

• Ability to work with professional staff

• Facilitate group-planning processes

• Excellent attention to detail

Requirements:

Minimum:

• 2 years of work or educational experience interpreting federal and state requirements, or managing grants

• Bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree in public administration, social and/or public policy, or a related field

Preferred:

• AmeriCorps alumni or experience managing an AmeriCorps Program, AmeriCorps members, or volunteers

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Ability to possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and operate a motor vehicle

• Ability to pass a background check performed by Arizona Department of Public Safety

• Ability to maintain a clean driving record
