The Website Content Manager will oversee and maintain the Arizona Game and Fish (AZGFD) website that includes managing content updates, ensuring website functionality, optimizing performance, implementing security measures, and collaborating with internal teams to align the website with brand, division and Department goals. In addition, this position will be the primary manager of the Department's Google Suite strategies and goals (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console), SEO and the digital accessibility initiative.
-Respond to customer needs and take a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
-Collaborate with marketing and public affairs team members (including graphic designers, content creators and project managers) to deliver cohesive web solutions.
-Support, maintain and implement digital accessibility best practices and standards.
-Engage with IT analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contribute to completion of functional specifications.
-Performs other duties as assigned
The candidate will have knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web development; web tolls and content management systems including WordPress; UX/UI principles/response design; search engine optimization best practices; Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable; digital accessibility including but not limited to, WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA compliance; GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and other Google products. The candidate will be skilled in critical thinking; organization; problem solving; collaboration; written and verbal communication; customer service; interpersonal and relationship management. The candidate will have the ability to stay current with trends and new developments; develop and document processes; evaluate and test emerging technologies; manage multiple projects and deadlines; think strategically; prioritize projects; adapt to changing priorities; analyze and resolve problems; work effectively with executive leadership, internal and external customers; proofread and edit for accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree plus 5 or more years of web content management, programming and analysis (or equivalent experience) required.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
