POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary duties of this position are to assist the Chief Financial Officer, Division Directors and Program Managers on state budgetary matters, including the preparation of the Division budgets, strategic project budgets, monitoring and auditing of expenditures and the development of a model to forecast revenues and project year-end fund balances. This position also assists with staffing and implementation of special projects resulting from legislative mandates, research initiatives, training programs and division operations.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; years of experience may substitute for a degree. This position also requires minimum of five years in a professional accounting or budget and finance position, demonstrated knowledge of financial audits and contract management, and analyzing data and producing management reports in a timely manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
