Job Summary:

This Intern position is part of the Arizona Strategic Enterprise Services (ASET) division's Strategic Portfolio Management team. The Intern serves in IT Procurement and IT Finance. Under the leadership of the Director of Portfolio Management, the Intern will be assigned projects related to key areas of opportunity within the teams functions, including: service management, demand management, bill of IT, cost modeling, IT licensing administration, procurement and marketing.

Job Duties:
  • IT Services - Research and develop IT service recommendations related to workflows and customer onboarding processes for Smartsheet's
  • IT Services - Perform market research and report on the status of non-enterprise services including presenting plans for alternative solutions that may shape the state’s future
  • IT Procurement - Review and advice on IT procurement and licensing administration processes including forms and automations integrated in Smartsheet's
  • Customer Feedback and Reporting - Develop dashboards and create custom reports of feedback surveys from Qualtrics
  • IT Finance - Review and audit current IT financial management processes related cost modeling and rate setting, and provide recommendations to streamline the process
  • Web design and development - Play a key role in the redesign and development of a new website and quantify its impact through data
  • Projects will be tailored to successful candidates' skill sets and capacity based on the duration of the internship
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

  • Information Technology fundamentals

Skills in:

  • Demonstrated experience or desire to learn Google, Smartsheet's, Qualtrics, NICUS (ITFM), and SQL

Ability to:

  • Exhibit business savvy
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and complete projects
  • Collaborate
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of professionals both orally and written
  • Work cross functionally with professionals from diverse backgrounds
Selective Preference(s):
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or masters degree program in business, accounting, computer science, supply chain management, or marketing/communications
