Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, this position will work in a collaborative team environment to design and develop web-based communication tools. This position provides web maintenance, development and management of ADOT websites for the successful delivery of agency communications.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

In collaboration with customers, build, manage and improve internal and external websites for the agency. Execute web development and front-end design in accordance with agency messaging and standards using the Drupal content management system (CMS) along with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Ensure agency websites meet American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Accessibility requirements and take corrective action as necessary.
Implement, monitor and report web-based analytics to enhance performance and optimize user experience.
Provide mentoring and training to internal staff engaged in web content updating to ensure accuracy and comprehension of existing and newly implemented policies, software and or technology.
Learn and follow agency standards. Ensure consistent agency messaging, branding and adherence to graphic and editorial standards.

Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of content management systems and development platforms.

- Google and Microsoft software/platform.
Skill:
- Proficient and or knowledge using a Drupal content management system.
- Strong user-experience web development skills, including object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- Oral and written communication skills to work with internal customers, the public and a variety of stakeholders.
- Analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, writing, editing, interview, research and interpersonal skills.

A position-related Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
Three (3) or more years of experience in web design and development can be substituted for education.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
