The Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) at the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is looking for an intern to support our efforts in driving quality improvement. From developing a resource hub to supporting training and problem-solving, you'll gain hands-on experience in enhancing organizational efficiency. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality improvement tools, introduction to project management, resource development, and professional communication. They'll enhance problem-solving, branding, and feedback analysis skills while collaborating with teams, supporting public health initiatives, and building a professional portfolio of completed projects and CQI resources.

 
- Expected hours are up to 19 hours per week. As soon as you’re ready we can accommodate your class schedule so that you may work during business hours.
-You will need to upload a copy of your resume, transcripts, and cover letter explaining how your skills are a good fit for this position, must have a current GPA standing of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- This is a paid internship; compensation is based on experience and education.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Resource development, material branding, training support, process mapping and problem-solving support, compiling success stories and lessons learned, prepare communication materials, project technical assistance, feedback collection and analysis.

YOU WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE INTERNSHIP: 
Knowledge of:
 
● Continuous improvement principles (preferred, not required)
● Branding and design (preferred, not required)
● Data entry, analysis, and feedback collection (preferred, not required)
 
Skilled in:
 
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Time management, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
● Interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
 
Ability to:
 
● Troubleshoot and identify potential technical challenges
● Synthesize information into user-friendly resources
● Work independently and meet deadlines
 
YOU WILL GAIN THE FOLLOWING FROM THIS INTERNSHIP:

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
