POSITION SUMMARY:
The newly developed Inmate Release Court Program (IRC) within the Court Services Division is seeking a Court Operations Specialist. This position assists the Program Manager and Arizona courts with the daily operations and administration of the Inmate Release Court (IRC) Program. Responsibilities include supporting the program’s business requirements, acting as a liaison between the Department of Corrections, internal agencies and the courts, training clerical staff, and monitoring and documenting the program’s progress and statistics.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the business procedures and training documentation to guide and assist courts with the IRC Program.
  • Working closely with Arizona courts, and court management to ensure a uniform message is provided to the courts.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, and testing court case management system automation for the IRC Program functionality.
  • Perform research of court case management system data to determine eligibility for the IRC.
  • Develops and reviews ad hoc and data quality reports to identify court data inconsistencies.
  • Reports eligibility and related information to local courts.
  • Monitors ongoing business processes and diagnoses problems with business requirement processes.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience working in the judicial branch or Department of Corrections; years of experience may substitute for a degree. This position also requires strong organizational and tracking skills. The ability to work effectively and independently with judges, court staff, Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry and the public. Excellent teamwork, creativity, work ethic, and problem-solving skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional customer service skills. Additionally, this position requires an individual who possess a comprehensive business perspective with strong analytical skills and the ability to focus on detailed aspects.
