POSITION SUMMARY:
The Court Services Division of the Arizona Supreme Court is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Court Operations Unit. This senior level position conceives, builds, facilitates, communicates, and implements a clear vision and sense of purpose for caseflow, financial, and trial management for the Arizona court system.

This individual directs and manages the projects, staff, and operations of the Court Operations Unit of the Court Services Division in the development of programs, projects and policies which enhance the quality of justice in Arizona’s courts. Current programs include operational reviews, interpreter credentialing, grant processing, language access, and time standards; and directs the collection, analyses and reporting of caseloads, case types, revenue, expenditure and other court statistical information. This position also works closely with the Information Technology Division in the creation and testing of caseflow and time standard reports; oversees the monitoring and analyzing the status of state and federal legislation affecting Arizona’s courts, and directs the preparation of materials which assist courts in implementation of new or revised legislation; and directs the development, implementation, evaluation and revisions of administrative orders, court rules, policies and procedures, guidelines and forms.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, criminal justice, social science or a related field and seven years progressive management experience in a court or court related environment. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Experience with planning, directing, organizing, managing, and coordinating multiple projects and personnel simultaneously with timely results is required. This position also requires skill in leading personnel and team building; experience in understanding and interpreting legislation, rules, administrative orders, court policies and procedures; experience in court administration functions and subject areas (e.g., case and records management, court accounting, family law); and strong skills in clear, direct, and consistent communications.

The preferred candidate will have experience conducting court operational reviews, budget preparation, and fund administration.

Travel level: up to 25%. Within Arizona
