The Corporations Division approves corporate names and grants corporate or limited liability company status to entities organizing under the laws of the State of Arizona; grants authority to foreign corporations and limited liability companies to transact business in the State; collects annual reports from all corporations of record; and maintains records for the benefit of public record and service of process.
The Examination Section’s essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Review, examine, and approve filings submitted on behalf of corporations and limited liability companies.
• Reference Arizona Revised Statutes to ensure compliance with filing requirements.
• Communicate with the public via letter, email, telephone, and in-person.
• Maintain strong familiarity with state laws relating to corporations and limited liability companies.
• Responsible for managing an independent workload, but as part of a larger team goal.
• Engage in various business office tasks and duties such as data entry, faxing, scanning, archiving, and other basic office functions.
• The position requires the ability to review a document, draw conclusions, and inform the customer of the necessary steps to meet statutory compliance.
-Mastery of effective customer service techniques
-Ability to interact positively with customers via the telephone, correspondence or in person, including facilitating the resolution of customer complaints
-Ability to learn and comprehend filing requirements according to Titles 10 & 29 (limited liability companies) of Arizona Revised Statutes
