POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-oriented person with an interest in the legal field or experience in a court environment? Do you take pride in producing quality work and providing excellent customer service? If so, this may be the position for you. The Arizona Supreme Court Clerk’s Office is looking for a detail-oriented, customer focused individual to join our team. As the highest state court, the Supreme Court has discretionary jurisdiction and processes approximately 1,200 cases annually. The Supreme Court Clerk’s office staff receives the majority of the filings via eFiling and completes case processing in an automated case management system. The work is detailed, and accuracy is critical.

This position’s responsibilities include processing appellate cases and court rules, receiving, processing and distributing documents and information regarding cases and agendas, assisting the court’s customers in person, by telephone, and email, preparing legal documents, maintaining the court’s records and other court-related functions.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and working in a court or similar environment. This position requires the ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in decision-making; as well as demonstrated proficiency in front-counter customer assistance skills, receiving documents, and responding appropriately to questions. In addition, this position requires the ability to problem-solve; to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines; to learn, understand and perform duties to further office workflow; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and the demonstrated ability to effectively use various office technology such as scanners, web-based applications, and MS Office products in performing work duties and to lift files and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.

This position is required to work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Travel level: negligible.
