Job Summary:

Within ADOA, the Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology office (ASET) has a mission to deliver forward thinking and secure IT solutions to state agencies through the expertise of a passionate and skilled workforce committed to superior customer service. This is fueled by a vision to become the information technology leader for the Arizona government, providing innovative and transformative services. ASET is currently looking for a System/LAN Administrator.

Job Duties:
  • Categorizes, isolates, and resolves network problems. Processes, documents, and coordinates resolution of trouble calls with help desk
  • Implements software patches, security fixes, and tests and validates modified system configurations
  • Ensures compliance with standards for systems software and documentation. Monitors system reliability and availability
  • Responds promptly to customer needs and takes a customer centric approach to problem solving
  • Solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments
  • Identifies opportunities for use of solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

  • Infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise

Skilled in:

  • Strong customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
  • Intermediate troubleshooting and conflict resolution

Ability to:

  • Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
  • Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
  • Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
Selective Preference(s):
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience)
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Background and reference check, including a state and federal criminal records check
  • Requires possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driving training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12)
