• Under direction from the Deputy Associate Superintendent, the Director of Operational Management provides leadership and supervision for grants, contracts, and data/compliance and fiscal oversight for Academic Achievement and assigned programs within.
• This position will plan, organize, and lead in coordination with the Deputy Associate Superintendent, the unit’s vision and mission of Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Consolidated for the state of Arizona as it relates to specific operational functions. The position supervises team members that facilitate grants management, project management, and data, compliance, fiscal management.
• This position will have goals aligned with other directors in Academic Achievement with a focus on the effective and efficient work of their operational domains. Performance metrics will include satisfaction of internal and external constituents, accurate and timely data submissions, and effective and efficient processes for their staff to get financial support to field when ESEA programs are implemented appropriately.
• Occasional in-state and rare out-of-state travel is required for this position.
• Coordinate and work alongside the Deputy Associate Superintendent to maintain all allocations and fiscal governance matters for all assigned granting funding sources and ensure accuracy
• Report out to internal and external stakeholders in project, grant, and program compliance and data utilization and performance. This includes but is not limited to any request and all state and federal reporting requirements
• Approve grants, program leadership as it relates to grant applications, and other areas as necessary for ESEA Consolidated programs in the State of Arizona
• Lead, collaborate, and assist in any agency initiative and project assigned
• Provide professional development to team members and constituents on effective practices and implement measures of achievements for the staff
• Plan, organize, and lead operational support directives for special education for the state of Arizona which includes but is not limited to generating guidance, implementing effective systems, and collaborating with other units or divisions to streamline processes
• Manage and oversee the data and compliance, projects, and federal grant processes for the effective implementation of initiatives under appropriate timelines
