Job Summary:

Assists in providing enterprise-wide network service to include voice, data and video; evaluates and recommends solutions; plans and executes implementation; includes networking hardware and associated software with the objective of providing a robust, secure and stable network infrastructure to include cloud-based infrastructure; maintains familiarity with standard security, privacy, communications and telecommunications protocols.

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (2 days per week in the office/hoteling).

Job Duties:
  • Installs and tests network equipment, network operating system software, network infrastructure, and other network related components/equipment. 
  • Maintains, repairs, upgrades, and enhances network equipment, network operating systems, network infrastructure, and other network related components/equipment.   
  • Troubleshoot, resolve and document all work performed on agency systems and network connectivity and supporting peripherals   
  • Performs system level diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure network systems are operational.  
  • Ensure data recovery by implementing a schedule of backups and archive operations for cloud, database and file systems    
  • Updates system documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc.   
  • Tracks all work performed in the help desk work order system. 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
  • Implementation, troubleshooting and design of data and cloud networking and telecommunications systems;   
  • Network systems hardware and software management;  Network infrastructure technologies such as Cisco switches, routers, firewalls;   
  • Network security and related concepts;   
  • Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) principles and operation;    
  • Project coordination and planning;    
  • Server based hardware technologies and operating systems including virtualization, clustering, security, user configuration   
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems included, but not limited to: Azure, Server, Exchange;   
  • Google Workspace and Cloud Systems   
Pre-Employment Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Network Systems
OR
Equivalent of education and or experience

Required certifications (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire):

CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Server+

Preferred

Google IT Support Professional Certificate
CompTIA Cloud Essentials+
Cisco Certified Networking Professional
