The Prevention Specialist will be responsible for presenting to various audience sizes of teens and law enforcement personnel regarding liquor laws, fraudulent identification, and teen Alcohol Awareness. Additionally, the Prevention Specialist will conduct educational contacts with licensed liquor establishments and interact with the community at community events.
This is a grant-funded position and the position is contingent on the continued funding.
• Conducting educational contacts at liquor-licensed establishments is a community outreach effort where the Prevention Specialist visits the establishments in person and provides valuable education regarding anti-underage drinking efforts, the need for establishments to protect patrons, and over-service concerns
• In addition to providing the aforementioned education, the Prevention Specialist assists the establishment employees with questions they may have
• This effort is an environmental strategy and is deliverable on the AHCCCS FY24 grant
• Instructing various audiences from teens to adults
• Attending community events
Knowledge:
• The applicant needs to have a basic level of liquor law knowledge and prevention practices or be able to learn quickly
Skill:
• The applicant needs to have a basic level of data entry knowledge or experience
Ability:
• The applicant needs to be able to present presentations to various group sizes and be able to network in identifying new schools, law enforcement agencies, or community groups to present to
• Arizona POST certified Peace Officers, Arizona POST Peace Officer certification
• Position requires possession of a Fingerprint Clearance Card
