The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) State Procurement Office (SPO) is seeking enthusiastic interns ready to engage in a range of responsibilities that have a tangible impact on state agencies. This internship offers a hands-on experience in performing both formal and informal solicitations through various methods including Invitations to Bids, Requests for Proposals, and Requests for Quotes and Information. Interns will also be involved in conducting market basket commodity analysis, comparing costs of contract goods with those of retail suppliers and other entities, and reporting these findings to SPO management. Additionally, the role includes vital Contract Administration duties, focusing on insurance compliance, and analyzing vendor performance and compliance. This opportunity is ideal for students desiring to work in a fast-paced environment, where they can apply their knowledge to complex projects, learn quickly, and make sound ethical decisions on behalf of the state.
