This position may offer the ability to work remotely on a hybrid basis, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures; the employee will be expected to work in the office a minimum of 2 times per month

Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Risk Management Division (RMD), is seeking a skilled and motivated Program Project Specialist 2 to join our team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing and entering property, liability, and auto claims into our claims system. You will be responsible for accurate data entry, coding, and documentation within our claims system. This position requires a strong understanding of the claims process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex information. Job Duties:
  • Analyzing and accurately inputting/updating all property, general liability, and auto claims into the Risk Management claims system, including coding and entering complex claims and documentation received by the division
  • Handle incoming calls, electronic correspondence, and hard-copy correspondence from claimants, insurance companies, law firms, and agency staff, and will compose, create, maintain, and document difficult analytic work in the means of correspondence and reports
  • Provides support to the property and liability claims section, providing guidance and performing miscellaneous tasks in support of the department
  • The position is required to perform in-office duties on a rotational basis consisting of mail scanning, outgoing mail, supply restocking, equipment distribution, and general office tasks
  • Assist with various projects related to the claims system database and may provide technical support to the claims system administrator
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • State government operations, statutes, rules, and procedures
  • Property and Liability insurance claims and concepts
  • Google Suite products and secure systems (intermediate to advanced)
  • Administrative support functions and office management practices
  • Paperless systems, data validation, and conditional formatting
  • Origami Risk Management Information System or other claims software
