Job Summary:

The Enterprise Resource Planning PMO is responsible for Project Management duties including management of multiple projects with multiple teams, cross division and cross agency project facilitation and managing vendor's activities on projects. This position acts as project champion; responsible for project success and team/stakeholder engagement, manages full project life cycle from discovery through lessons learned, understands, monitors and reports on project tasks, milestones and deliverables; facilitates team/stakeholder interactions, meetings and communications; works with project resources, including vendors and procurement professionals, to assure project health; develops project charters, plans/schedules, communication plans, SOWs and other documentation; guides project teams to define requirements or stories/sprints/backlogs; and balances priorities among multiple projects involving disparate teams.

This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

Job Duties:

- Manages multiple middle to large-sized IT projects, including complex strategic, transformational and operational projects, based on repeatable standards and practices. This includes leading execution and delivery, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, to specification, within budget, and of highest quality. This includes managing the project timeline, identifying project risks, tracking and measuring project status.
- Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements. By assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Review, understand, research, analyze, and proofread the business requirements and technical designs related to the software to define testing needs and approaches in order for extensive, detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to be created.
- Key skills are a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies such as Waterfall, DSDM, SCRUM, XP, and Agile.
- Ability to serve as an Agile scrum master to coach team members in Agile, host virtual and in-person stand-up meetings, assist the product owner with the product backlog, remove roadblocks, and lead the team through healthy conflict and debate to meet project objectives, timelines, scope, quality, and budget.
- Responds promptly to customer needs; takes a customer-centric approach to problem-solving; solicits customer feedback to improve service; Response to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments; manages difficult or emotional customer situations; fosters relationships.
- Responsible for effectively applying and ensuring State and Agency project and software development life-cycle methodologies, policies, guidelines, best practices, and standards are adhered to.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
PM processes/protocols
ERP systems including their modules, functionalities and best practices
SCRUM framework, includes its roles, ceremonies and artifacts
Skills:
Solid track record of progressively challenging project successes
Abilities:
Strong ability to identify and resolve risks/issues and manage change
Ability to adapt SCRUM principles and practices to the specific needs of an ERP implementation project

Selective Preference(s):

Five or more years experience in a Project Management role and
Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills Certification, or equivalent/higher certification required.
