Under the general supervision of the Right of Way (R/W) Acquisition Section Manager, the R/W Agent Senior position is responsible for performing the diverse upper level technical R/W Acquisition and Residential and Business Relocation functions required of the Section. Providing upper level direction, oversight, problem solving solutions and technical assistance related to R/W Acquisition and Relocation to lower level agents; Performing all the required R/W Acquisition and Relocation functions per State and Federal Statutes, regulations, standards and guidelines.
This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (# days per week in the office/hoteling.

Give and receive information requiring analysis and judgment regarding current and specific business practices of the Right of Way Group by multiple means including telephone, electronically and direct contact. Drive a state vehicle in the course of performing required duties.
Review the work products of lower level Right of Way agents.
Train and assist lower level workers with work assignments and more complex problem solving regarding work methods and processes.
Confer with Right of Way management, staff members and representatives of other Sections and agencies to acquire information needed for determinations and/or decisions.
Attend and participate in meetings and training as required and assigned. Out of town travel and overnight lodging as needed.

ABILITY
Four years of experience in relevant area with increased responsibility over time, requiring at least two years’ experience similar to that done by a Right of Way Agent 2 in Real Estate and/or Property Management. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field may substitute for two years of specialized experience.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
