SENIOR INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Senior Information Security Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and directing Security Operations capabilities for Arizona Cyber Command.

This position ensures that the appropriate security controls, capabilities, and procedures are in place and are properly deployed to detect, protect, and respond to cyber attacks across the entire State from both internal and external threats, known and unknown.

The Senior Information Security Manager is also responsible for ensuring timely and accurate cyber intelligence collection, analysis, and sharing is occurring within State entities, and with external partners.

Job Duties:

• Develop, implement, and manage the Statewide Security Operation Center capabilities including people, technology, and processes to support the effective detection, protection, and response to cyberattacks across the State of Arizona from both internal and external threats

• Lead Cyber Command in statewide information security incident response efforts. Lead in-depth information security forensics assessments as necessary to support IR efforts, and assist with formal information security investigations

• Support the efficient collection, analysis, and sharing of cyber intelligence with and from internal and external partners across the State

• Reviews the progress of all operational projects under their area of responsibility and reports on the performance to the executive team

• Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:

• Broad and generally deep understanding of all facets of management and leadership, as well as a vision for the specific business program/function being managed

• Thorough working knowledge of most Security Operations technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise

• Thorough working knowledge of interrelationships among various internal and external organizational functions

• Thorough working knowledge of the organization’s methodologies and tools

• Thorough working knowledge of the statewide policies and procedures

Skills/Ability:

• Demonstrated ability to apply creative solutions to business and security challenges to ensure needs are most effectively met

• Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate the relationship and function of the SOC to other business units and Agencies

• Demonstrated ability to integrate new concepts, practices, and emerging technologies into strategic planning process

• Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate needs and priorities of both internal and external customers

• Demonstrated ability to manage large and/or complex technical teams

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Required to drive on State business; must possess a valid Arizona driver's license

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required (due to security clearance)
