Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) is seeking a paid intern.
This internship position would assist the Subsequent AMA team in multiple facets: They would work with our Data Specialist to analyze, organize, and understand applications received for the Douglas AMA and Hualapai INA. This intern would also assist in writing RFIs (requests for information) on applications that are deficient in required information.
A hybrid work schedule (some work in the office and some work from home) is available for this position.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist the Data Specialist with paper application organization, application scanning, and updating
application logs to ensure the most up-to-date information is available.
Throughout their time at ADWR, the Data Intern would also receive a well-rounded education of water
policy, the different areas of the Active Management Area (AMA) sections.

Schedule: Hours may vary up to 40 hours per week.

Candidates must be enrolled in school and pursing a degree in Water resource management, Sustainability, Business, Contracts, Economics or related field.

Positions in this classification may participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS) . Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment (after meeting required ASRS eligibility requirements). The current contribution rate is 12.27%.
