Job Summary:

The Systems Operations Manager is responsible for the centralized Learning Management System (LMS) operation processes and procedures, course management, the end-to-end administration of all learning activities, including new activity creation, scheduling, attendance management, and administrative maintenance. The operations management of ADOT’s LMS serves to optimize processes and elevate customer service on communications, issue management, customer troubleshooting, customer resolution, and establish standard operating procedures to ensure ADOT’s system is performing at a high standard of operational efficiency. Additionally, the Systems Operations Manager will oversee the program and administrative management for the CPR & First Aid, and Tuition Reimbursement programs. This position will serve as supervisor to the LMS administrative staff.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Management of the Learning Management System (LMS) operations including the centralized administrative management of all learning content in the system and contributing to ongoing system operational improvements. Establish operation processes and procedures for the LMS administrative staff, which includes, but it is not limited to, course management, and end-to-end administration of all learning activities, including new activity creation, scheduling, attendance management, and administrative maintenance.

Implement and evaluate standardized processes for troubleshooting learner system issues to adhere to a high standard of customer service and communication. Establish and manage customer service evaluation measures for the LMS administrative staff to maintain a high standard of operational efficiency. Collaborate with System Administrator, other areas within the agency, and external partners on escalated issues.

Project management of innovation and technology enhancements for LMS operations to streamline LMS functions and workflows. This position will work with the Training Information Manager LDC Administrator and the EBD Technology Manager to address system enhancement needs through standardized processes, identify data-driven themes or gaps, and facilitate continual enhancements while maximizing customer service standards. Participates in communities of practice with ADOA and external partners.

Program administration and management including CPR & First Aid and ADOT’s Tuition Reimbursement and Professional Development Programs.

Selective Preference(s):

Two plus years experience with operational/administrative management and support of technology systems. Supervisory experience.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
